Meet the Partners
Maylynda Pacitti is a Chartered Certified Accountant who qualified with ACCA in 1999 after entering the profession at a young age. Maylynda was mentored by the late Bruce Andrew CA and, following his sudden passing in 2000, Maylynda decided to dedicate her career to his firm. Having spent over 27 years in professional practice before starting Pacitti Hamilton, Maylynda comes with an extensive knowledge and broad experience and knows exactly what it takes to look after owner managed businesses of any size and sector. From business start up to wind down, Maylynda works closely with clients to ensure they get the best possible advice to achieve the best possible outcome. Maylynda’s passionate approach to her client’s business is what sets her apart from other accountants and this passion and approach is at the heart of Pacitti Hamilton.
Known affectionately as the ‘workaholic’, before MP hits her desk she’s already hit a 6am circuit class. Fun secret fact – Maylynda has performed in numerous festivals Belly dancing including the Edinburgh Festival. She loves all things family, prosecco and dancing.
Heather Hamilton qualified with ICAS as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. Heather then left practice to move into Industry, working mainly in construction and property as an accountant until 2013. Following a couple of exciting years of living with her family in the French Alps and running her own cafe bar, Heather returned to Scotland and the world of accountancy practice in 2015. Heather has a wealth of experience in both practice and industry and knows what it takes to run a successful business. This range of experience enables Heather to provide clear information and advice to clients, free of technical jargon, and is passionate about helping clients to achieve the very best in their business.
The other main passion in Heather’s life is her family and they are at the core of everything she does. As well as her 2 rather grown up children, Heather is Mum to PH team puppy Bertie and she loves nothing more than a walk up a hill at the weekend with him followed by a cuppa and cake at her favourite local coffee shop.
Meet the Team
Kelly Sneddon
TAX MANAGER
Kelly joined Team PH in March 2021 as Tax Manager but was already well known to the team, having worked with Maylynda and Richie for almost 20 years in a previous practice. Kelly’s role includes all things taxation – from personal to corporation tax, P11Ds to HMRC enquiries and it is likely that most of our clients will have met with or spoken to Kelly at some point in their time at PH. Kelly has ambitions to grow the tax arm of the business and her own role within PH which we will be supporting all the way. Kelly is the life and soul of our office and her singing is legendary – she can always be relied upon to be first up at the karaoke! Her world outside of the office revolves around her family and in particular her football mad son and when not at her desk (or hanging onto a microphone) can normally be found cheering him on at the side of a football pitch somewhere around Glasgow. Asked what she enjoys about working within PH and she says it is all down to her amazing colleagues and the support she receives from both partners.
Richie Davidson
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Richie joined Team PH in December 2020 as a senior accountant and like Kelly, was already well known to the team having worked with Maylynda, Kelly and Heather in a previous practice.
Richie’s role has involved him working closely with clients to help them move from manual to digital records and software to ensure they are fully MTD compliant, day to day supervision of the accounts team and servicing a portfolio of clients monthly, quarterly and annually. Richie is a busy Dad to 2 teenagers and if that was not enough he is also the treasurer of a local bowling club, keen player and often seen helping out behind the bar. Thankfully he enjoys some downtime and as an avid supporter of the Tartan Army he loves to travel all over Scotland and elsewhere supporting his team and country. And whilst he may seem quiet we are reliably informed he has a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do! Asked what he enjoys about working within PH and he says it is working with a great team.
Maureen Boyce
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Maureen joined Team PH with a wealth of experience in March 2021 as a senior accountant and her role involves preparing annual and management accounts for a large portfolio of clients. Maureen also keeps us on our toes with deadlines and many of our clients will have received an email from her chasing information and reminding them of when key documents are due. Maureen affectionately refers to herself as the ‘older lady’ of the office, but one that is ageing disgracefully! She keeps threatening to not come back from her beloved second home in Portugal but thankfully always does find her way back to sunny Paisley and her desk. Other than Portugal Maureen loves all things gin, prosecco and horse related and this is typical of the warm, sociable person she is within our team. Asked what she enjoys about working within PH and she say that the bosses and colleagues are always available, helpful, friendly and flexible. She wishes to retire gracefully one day but for now we hope she stays disgraceful with us for a few years yet!
Lauren McNeil
TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT
Lauren has been with Team PH since the beginning started having worked with the practice we took over since August 2017. Lauren came into her role straight from school as a Business and Admin Apprentice processing payroll and bank statements. She has since worked extremely hard both at work and at college and has progressed into accounts production, VAT returns and supervision of the payroll team. Lauren truly is the beating heart of team PH and there is very little she does not know about the day to day operations of our office. She is currently finishing her AAT exams and then hopes to progress through her professional ACCA qualifications. Lauren loves to travel (and collect funny pens and snow globes from wherever she goes) and spend time with family and friends but her favourite place just now is the drive thru queue at Starbucks. Understandable given how hard she works and studies! Asked what she enjoys about working within PH and she says she loves the relaxed environment that the whole team have created and that she never has to sit and struggle with anything as everyone is so helpful.
Sean Cassidy
PAYROLL & CIS ADMINISTRATOR
Like Lauren, Sean joined Team PH from the previous practice which he joined in October 2018 straight from school. He also started as a Business and Admin Apprentice where he helped with payroll and filing. He has since worked up to managing the payroll and CIS function within the office and has just embarked on his professional payroll qualifications, hoping to be CIPP qualified in time. All of our clients have probably met Sean at some point over the years and he is a well loved member of the team. When not making sure people are paid on time, Sean loves to go out to restaurants and for drinks with friends and jet off on holiday to the sun, with Florida being one of his favourite destinations. But his true love is tattoos and he has 45 to date! Asked what he enjoys about working within PH and he says that he feels supported and recognized and that there is a great atmosphere in the office where everyone can have a laugh whilst working hard.
Gosia Stec
ACCOUNTANT
Gosia joined Team PH in October 2022 and is another member of the team who was already well known to us, having worked with a number of us before. It is early days for Gosia in her PH journey but she has already established great relationships with the team and a number of clients. Gosia would love to develop her career into a senior position and is always keen to gain more knowledge and experience. This carries into her personal life where as well as being a very busy Mum of 2 she loves to read, visit churches and go stargazing, with a dream to one day visit Machu Picchu in Peru and also to see the Aurora Borealis. Gosia is from Poland but has well and truly adopted Scotland as her and her families home and whilst she struggles a little with the famous Scottish weather she loves the Scottish hills, mountains, lakes and glens. Asked about what she enjoys about working within PH she says it is a great bunch of people and a very supportive environment.
Anne Manson
COMPANIES HOUSE ADMINISTRATOR
Like Lauren and Sean, Anne has been Team PH since our beginnings having worked at the previous practice since September 2018. Anne will be well known to our limited company clients as she manages the administration of Companies House returns and amendments. She has a wealth of administrative experience and is amazingly well organized – much needed in a deadline driven business like PH. Anne’s world revolves around her family and when not visiting her 3 gorgeous grandchildren in Dubai, Anne loves to walk her dog each weekend down at her caravan in Ayrshire. Anne is an ardent supporter against animal cruelty and loves to sing having been a singer with a Glasgow band back in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Bertie
OFFICE PUP
Bertie joined the PH team in November 2022 and is loved by everyone. He may not be the most productive or hard working member of the team, but he certainly brings joy to the office and all who visit and we cannot imagine the office without this gorgeous furry little team member.
